We live in a society where social networking is just a part of the everyday life. While some adults are slow to jump on the bandwagon, teenagers are growing up wired and connected to many different social networks.
There are many aspects of social networking and teens, but the focus I am stressing is that of doing using social networks responsibly. There are 3 key components to having a teenager use social networks responsibly.
1) Guidance- model proper online use
2) Netiquette- teach what is and isn't appropriate to post
3) Parental Connection- don't just assume what your child is doing online, know.
