The actions of the United States National Guard on May 4, 1970 at Kent State University were unjust.
The actions and tribulations of the National Guard on May 4, 1970 were not justified and are inexcusable because the students who were actively participating in the antiwar rally bore innocence yet, were murdered.
No warning was given to the students upon firing and no measures were spared against an unarmed student riot. In simplest form the national guard was unjust. The actions of the national guard were premature and rushed.
The First Amendement supports the actions of the students who were rallying on May 4, 1970 because the Constitution allows for peaceful protests.
